    Julia Gillard intervened on my behalf when my Disability Support Pension application was rejected. She asked the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service to review my case, which lead to psychosocial functionality and deficit to be counted in the table they used to assess disability. If it wasn't for Julia Gillard, I most likely would have ended up homeless.

    Yes circumcision does everything Christopher said, however it is to assist us in guiding our sexual urges properly and to distinguish us from mere animals. Look at our culture today. Hyper-sexualized is an understatement.

    Sadly, it’s certain that Mr. Hitchins has a reservation secured for him in the Lake of Fire. One day he will stand before the God he has ridiculed, mocked, and insulted for most of his life, and he will be righteously judged and condemned.

    I'm a Colombian-Jew, Zuckerman. I believe circumcising is a "power play" and/or a emasculating tradition performed many times by a pedophile Rabbi. It's disgusting and I believe God gave us the entire penis for a reason. Circumcising is a pedophilic emasculating tradition

    Rabbi Kushner's light-hearted comment on circumcision was not unreasonable. In competent hands the procedure should be neither problematic nor traumatic, and medically, the prophylactic efficacy of circumcision is well documented. I found the ensuing exhibition of bad grace rather regrettable.

    Rabbi says “my son cried less at his circumcision than he did at his first haircut” Chris jokingly says “you didn’t do it right then” (If he wasn’t joking he was entirely implying pain should be present) Then the rabbi says “statistically the only long term affect it has on people is that it increases the chance of them winning a Nobel prize” Then Chris says “I can’t find the compulsory act of genital mutilation a subject for humor” YOU JUST MADE A “JOKE”

    • @nutz4knitz

      Christopher plays the hypocrite in subtle ways here that aren’t related to the subject directly

    • @Noor-sl5ep
      @Noor-sl5ep Місяць тому

      that's christophers point. such thing is not for joking. it's such serious and important topic and children get traumatized because of it.

    • @nutz4knitz
      @nutz4knitz Місяць тому

      Christopher using humor in a retort while arguing against humor right after is hypocrisy. His point doesn’t matter if his process is hypocritical. Btw I’m not traumatized. If it’s religious and during the birth of a child, it’s not traumatizing. If it’s like in Uganda in an adobe hut and there’s an 8 year old girl having her genitals mutilated? Yeah that’s traumatizing and disagreeable

    • @nutz4knitz
      @nutz4knitz Місяць тому

      I urge you to watch the differences of a Jewish circumcision and any other cultures process. There’s a huge difference and a lot of considerations for the child’s safety and health.

    • @Noor-sl5ep
      @Noor-sl5ep Місяць тому

      @@nutz4knitz if it's religious then it's not traumatizing ? do you relise that you're just trying to defend your religion even if it means rejecting parts of yourself or your past or your self respect? of course forcing a child into such situation and cutting a part their body will be greatly traumatizing. i'm an ex-muslim and i know what i and what my brother and siblings had to go through. it being religious doesn't mean it's right. that's as far away from the truth as possible.

    When I move to Portland from New York, I was pretty struck by the relative lack of humor among the more liberal residents. Back east, they are the the funniest people around, and have no problem poking fun at themselves. So I really welcome Portlandia because it is like a New Yorker telling Portlanders that they need to not take themselves so seriously. Sometime over the past 10 years, Bill Maher took to making the left the main focus of his comedy because the potential there was too hard not to pass up. Portlandia could have inspired him. But in each case, the hipsters will tell you you can only do this for so long, which is why some have said "it's not cool to love Portlandia anymore". And Bill is hated by both the right AND the left now. Yeah, but we Portlanders are better on the for having been given a reality check on our lifestyle by Portlandia. Thats what comedians sometimes do best.

    I loved listening to Arthur speak, regardless of topic. He never rushed his thoughts or gave a lazy answer. He always made me think. We all lost a great man way too early, and we sure could use him today when our country is so divided. He was a true leader. He didn’t need social media to make a difference. He lead by example and was everything that our leaders are not today.

No Money, is A Mercy, can The Bluest Eye find a Rainbow a Home? For Frank and his Sister here's a poem. I love you, Mother, I thank you everyday, love me, keep me warm, nurture me, care for me, show me what is right and wrong. Your love has kept me, in the light, words that make a man cave bright. And when I go to her at night, she rocks me in my cradle, so I sleep tight. I love you Mother. I Thank you everyday. Mother loves me, keeps me warm, nurtures me, cares for me, and calms me through the storm. To help me Mother, help your baby, to be strong, nothing more.
